Director of Investment Facilitation Visits Herat Province

On July 11, 2026, a delegation led by Mawlavi Engineer Ahmad Zia Khalid, Director of Investment Facilitation at the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, with the participation of representatives from the Ministries of Finance, Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, Urban Development and Housing, Industry and Commerce, as well as the Chamber of Industries and Mines, traveled to Herat Province to create more facilities for traders at the country's border ports.

During the visit, Mawlavi Engineer Ahmad Zia Khalid met with the Governor of Herat, Sheikh Noor Ahmad Islam Jar, and stated that the purpose of the visit was to provide greater facilities for investors at the country's border ports.

The Governor of Herat, Sheikh Noor Ahmad Islam Jar, then shared his views on the matter and assured the delegation of his full cooperation.

The delegation is also scheduled to visit the border ports of Torghundi, Islam Qala, and the port in Nimroz Province. The cost of establishing these facilities will be funded through the Private Sector Support Fund.
