Director of Policy and Strategy Chairs Coordination Meeting

On June 24, 2026, a coordination meeting was held in the office of Mufti Abdul Wahid Usmani, Director of Policy and Strategy at the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, with representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions in the formulation of plans, policies, and strategies.

Mufti Abdul Wahid Usmani stated that the purpose of the meeting was to enhance coordination between the two institutions in the formulation and advancement of plans, policies, and strategies related to the agricultural sector.

He emphasized the importance of the agricultural sector to the country's economic development and stated that Afghanistan is an agricultural country, with a large portion of its population dependent on agriculture. Therefore, he added, any initiative that contributes to the growth and development of the agricultural sector will receive the full support and cooperation of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs.

Subsequently, Hashmatullah Shahrani, representative of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, provided detailed information on the ministry's programs, priorities, and requirements related to the formulation of agricultural plans, policies, and strategies. He emphasized the importance of coordination between the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs and the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock for the effective implementation of the ministry's programs and requested continued cooperation of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs.

At the conclusion of the meeting, it was decided that agricultural experts from both institutions would continue to hold joint meetings on a regular basis to address challenges and further enrich plans and policies.

The meeting, which began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, ended with a prayer for goodwill.
