Director of Investment Facilitation Visits Payman Battery Manufacturing Company
On June 10, 2026, Mawlavi Engineer Ahmad Zia Khalid, Director of Investment Facilitation at the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, met with the officials of the Payman Battery Manufacturing Company in Kabul and toured the facility to observe its battery production operations.
The Director of Investment Facilitation stated that work is underway on plans to encourage the use of domestic products so that people increasingly rely on locally manufactured goods. He added that the country has major manufacturing factories that deserve greater attention and support.
Jamshid Mahmoodi, General Manager of the Payman Battery Manufacturing Company, expressed appreciation for the support of the Islamic Emirate and stated that domestic factories have secured a place in the market. He added that the company, relying on local human resources, manages the entire battery production process and is committed to maintaining high-quality standards.
Mawlavi Engineer Ahmad Zia Khalid assured that the Islamic Emirate is working to provide greater facilities and support for domestic factories so that the country can reduce and eventually eliminate its dependence on foreign products.
It is worth mentioning that the Payman Battery Manufacturing Company, established with an investment of $20 million, produces approximately 3,000 batteries each day and provides employment for around 200 workers.
