On April 14, 2025, the 19th Cabinet meeting of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was held under the chairmanship of Al-Haj Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, Prime Minister of the IEA, where a number of issues were discussed.

The session began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by discussions and decisions on important economic, social, and cultural matters of the country.

In this session, the High Commission for Refugees was tasked with initiating the distribution of land to returnee refugees who meet the required conditions and are entitled to receive land in provinces where townships have already been designated for them, so they can begin building shelter for themselves.

Additionally, all committees under the mentioned commission were instructed to focus on their responsibilities concerning returnee refugees and carry out their duties in the designated townships.

The Cabinet also assigned the National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) to send a team to Iran to assist in verifying the identities of Afghan nationals residing there, in order to facilitate their access to identification cards, passports, education, and other services.

The Cabinet meeting concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
