Director General of Administrative Affairs: A special security unit has been established to protect the country’s forests
On April 6, 2025, Sheikh al-Hadith Mawlavi Noorul Haq Anwar, General Director of Administrative Affairs, attended the inauguration ceremony of this administration’s sapling-planting campaign and delivered a speech.
The ceremony, held at the Bala Bagh Palace in Paghman, was attended by deputies, directors, department heads, and several employees from the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs.
In his address, Sheikh al-Hadith Mawlavi Noorul Haq Anwar stated that planting saplings leads to the flourishing of the land, cleaner air, and benefits for the people. He emphasized that under the rule of the Islamic Emirate, serious attention has been paid to sapling planting and the expansion of green spaces.
He added that fifty years ago, when there was no war and no presence of foreign occupiers, the mountains of the country were covered with forests. However, war and occupation led to the excessive and indiscriminate cutting and destruction of trees.
The General Director further noted that the protection of forests and sapling planting have been discussed multiple times in cabinet meetings, and a special unit for safeguarding green zones has been established to protect the country’s forests.
Meanwhile, Mawlavi Mohammad Yusuf Saad, Director of Construction, Maintenance, and Care at the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, presented a detailed report on last year’s activities and plans for the coming year to the attendees.
The event concluded with officials and employees from various directorates of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs planting saplings, followed by a prayer for goodwill.
