On Tuesday, March 11, 2025, the Director General of Administrative Affairs, Sheikh al-Hadith Mawlavi Noorul Haq Anwar, attended the introductory meeting for the new Deputy Director for Policy and Professional Affairs at the Prison Affairs Reform Administration.
The meeting took place in the conference hall of the Prison Affairs Reform Administration, with participation from Sheikh al-Hadith Mawlavi Noorul Haq Anwar, Director General of Administrative Affairs, Mawlavi Mohammad Yousuf Mastari, Director General of the Prison Affairs Reform Administration, Mawlavi Mohammad Tariq Kazem, the newly appointed Deputy Director for Policy and Professional Affairs, and several other officials.
In his speech, the Director General of Administrative Affairs stated, “We all believe that appointments and elections are not the goal, but rather a means to serve the Islamic system and the country. The Islamic system is obligated to follow the commands of Allah Almighty and uphold the rights of the people.”
Sheikh al-Hadith Mawlavi Noorul Haq Anwar further emphasized, “This is a vital administration, one that is directly connected to the rights of an oppressed and deprived class. Prisoners are also citizens of this country, and they have rights. This administration is tasked with safeguarding those rights in accordance with Sharia.”
He added that, in contrast to the rest of the world, prisoners here must be treated with dignity, morality, and in full accordance with Islamic principles, so that they may become righteous individuals, repent for their past wrongdoings, and reintegrate into society.
The Director General of the Prison Affairs Reform Administration, the Chief of Staff, and both the former and new Deputies for Policy and Professional Affairs also addressed the gathering.
The event, which began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
