Coordination Meeting Held to Develop Policies for the Ministry of Industry and Commerce

On January 12, 2025, a coordination meeting chaired by Mawlavi Islamuddin Usmani, Director of Policy and Strategy at the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, was held in his office to discuss the development and enhancement of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce’s policies.

The meeting began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. In his opening remarks, Mawlavi Islamuddin Usmani emphasized the importance of the Ministry's activities and policies in improving the lives of the people of society. He reaffirmed the General Directorate's readiness to cooperate fully in policymaking efforts with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.

Abdul Moqeem Afghan, Director of Strategy, Policy, and Planning at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, shared that approximately 160,000 jeribs of land have been allocated to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce for industrialization of the country. He underscored the need for strategic, long-term planning to drive growth in the business sector.

Participants shared their views and suggestions for enhancing the Ministry’s policies. It was decided to form a joint committee comprising representatives from relevant ministries and institutions to commence practical work on policy development and enrichment.

The meeting concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
