Meeting Held to Implement Order No. 618/1399 of His Highness Amir al-Mu’minin (May Allah Protect Him)
On Sept 16, 2026, under the leadership of Sheikh al-Hadith Mawlavi Noorul Haq Anwar, Director General of Administrative Affairs, a meeting was held at the conference hall of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs with the participation of Mufti Shamsur Rahman, Director of Public Economy and Infrastructure at the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, representatives of the Economic Deputy Prime Minister's Office, the Ministry of Energy and Water, and Da Afghanistan Breshna Shirkat, to implement Order No. (618/1399) of His Highness Amir al-Mu’minin (may Allah preserve him) and Opinion No. (2) of the Council of Ministers.
The meeting discussed increasing electricity capacity, finding solutions to existing challenges, reviewing the Dasht-e Alwan–Kabul electricity supply agreement, and providing the required electricity to industrial factories.
Speaking at the meeting, Director General of Administrative Affairs Sheikh al-Hadith Mawlavi Noorul Haq Anwar said that industrial parks and hospitals should be given priority in electricity distribution and that necessary efforts should be made to increase electricity capacity. He noted that this would create opportunities for self-sufficiency in various parts of the country and generate employment opportunities for the people.
Furthermore, in coordination with the Economic Deputy Prime Minister's Office, discussions were held on reviewing the Dasht-e Alwan–Kabul electricity supply agreement, providing the required electricity to necessary production facilities, and determining an appropriate mechanism for distributing electricity among industrial factories.
In conclusion, Director General of Administrative Affairs Sheikh al-Hadith Mawlavi Noorul Haq Anwar stressed the need for continued coordination among the relevant institutions and serious follow-up on the matter to better organize it and find practical solutions. He issued necessary instructions to the representatives of the relevant institutions and directed the establishment of a joint technical committee among the relevant institutions to address the matter.
The meeting began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
