Director General of Administrative Affairs: Announcement of Tax Reductions Will Expand Economic Activities
On June 12, 2026, the Director General of Administrative Affairs, Sheikh al-Hadith Mawlavi Noorul Haq Anwar, along with the Deputy Prime Minister for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Minister of Finance, Mullah Mohammad Nasar Akhund, and a number of other officials and traders, attended a meeting organized by the Ministry of Finance on tax reduction measures.
Addressing the meeting, the Director General of Administrative Affairs, Sheikh al-Hadith Mawlavi Noorul Haq Anwar, stated that the people, the public, and investors expect taxes on their income to be reasonable and transparent. He added that it is now the responsibility of governments to collect these revenues fairly and reasonably, ensure justice in their allocation, and spend them on national and social interests, as well as on the security, stability, development, and prosperity of the country and the Islamic Emirate.
Sheikh al-Hadith Mawlavi Noorul Haq Anwar further noted that just as the Ministry of Finance has activated systems in certain areas, greater transparency, convenience, efficiency, and public confidence will be achieved when other government institutions and taxpayers also develop their systems and integrate them with those of the Ministry of Finance.
He added that the announcement of tax reduction measures would support the private sector, investors, and taxpayers, expand economic activities, and create new opportunities for business growth.
The meeting began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
