The procedures for the appointment, transfer, and dismissal of Wakil-e-Gozars (district/neighborhood representatives) were reviewed

 

On February 20, 2025, a coordination meeting was held to review and refine the procedures for the appointment, transfer, and dismissal of neighborhood representatives and consultative councils of the General Directorate for Coordination of Municipal Affairs, with the participation of representatives from relevant directorates.

The meeting, led by Mufti Saeed Ahmad Hamdan, Director of Legal, Legislative, and Judicial Affairs, took place in the conference hall of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs.

Participants from the General Directorate for Coordination of Municipal Affairs, the Administrative Reforms and Civil Services Authority, the National Procurement Directorate, the Directorate of Personnel Affairs, the Directorate of Reforms and Review of Emirate Structures, and the Directorate of Policy and Strategy of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs discussed and exchanged views on the proposed procedures.

Mufti Saeed Ahmad Hamdan listened to the opinions and suggestions of the participants and directed that, in coordination with the General Directorate for Coordination of Municipal Affairs, the procedures be reviewed. He emphasized that the revised procedures, incorporating the views of all relevant directorates, should be presented at the next meeting for final approval.

The meeting concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
