On December 24, 2024, the National Procurement Directorate (NPD) of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs held a bid-opening meeting for 18 types of machinery and mining equipment, along with 134 types of goods and spare parts required for the Emirati North Coal Company's mines.

The meeting, held in the NPD's conference hall, was attended by the bid-opening delegation and several bidders. During the session, Sheikh Abdulrahim Rahimi, Deputy Director of NPD, expressed his gratitude to the representatives of the bidding companies for their participation and assured them that the bid-opening process conducted by the NPD is transparent and fair.

Mr. Rahimi further stated that all ministries and Emirati institutions are committed to serving the people and prioritizing national interests. He added that contracts are awarded to companies that deliver projects with lower costs and higher quality.

The Deputy Director also called on representatives of the bidding companies to prioritize national interests during project implementation and ensure the projects are completed to the highest standards.
