A Meeting Held to Discuss Laboratories at the Country's Ports

On December 10, 2024, a meeting was held to discuss the contract for laboratories at the country’s ports. The meeting was attended by representatives from the Investment Facilitation Directorate, the Ministries of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, Finance, Public Health, the National Food and Drugs Authority, and Geo Chem Company, led by Mawlavi Engineer Ahmad Zia Khalid, Director of Investment Facilitation.

The session, which took place in the conference hall of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Discussions then focused on the technical dimensions of the laboratories and the quality of the contract.

Najmuddin Sayas, President of Geo Chem, stated that the company currently operates in 30 countries and 120 cities worldwide. He expressed the company's readiness to invest in Afghanistan, aiming to test food, fertilizers, and grains in the shortest time and at the lowest cost, while also preventing the import of low-quality materials and goods.

In the end, it was decided that the relevant agencies would share their opinions and proposals with the Investment Facilitation Directorate, allowing the contracted company to present a comprehensive and detailed plan based on those inputs.

The meeting concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
