Two-Day Cabinet Meeting Held
A two-day meeting of the cabinet, chaired by the supreme leader of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Sheikh ul Quran wal Hadith Mawlavi Hebatullah Akundzada, was held on Monday, 6th of November, 2023 which lasted two days.
The meeting discussion included the Wakhan Highway, the Educational Curriculum, and the price control of goods.
In this meeting, the Ministry of Public Works was asked to take necessary measures regarding the survey, design, and fundamental construction of the Wakhan Highway, Badakshan, and submit the conclusive plan to the leadership for approval.
In addition, a task was handed over to the committee assigned to create the curriculum for schools and universities to speed up the creation of the new curriculum for schools and universities based on principles that are not against Islamic Sharia.
Likewise, the Ministry of Water and Energy was instructed to reconnect the power supply of all the mosques which were cut short due to the nonpayment of electricity bills.
In this cabinet meeting, a delegation led by the Ministry of Information and Culture with the participation of the representatives of the ministries of Hajj and Religious Affairs, and Propagation of Virtue and Prevention of Vice was entrusted with the task of preparing an aistiftah and submitting it to the leadership of Islamic Emirate in order to respectfully eliminate the holy papers.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs, in cooperation with the Ministry of Propagation of Virtue and Prevention of Vice was tasked to prepare safe places for the preservation of the weakened copies of the Holy Quran and other sacred pages.
Also, they were asked to find a way to those weakened copies that can be restored.
At the end of this meeting, the price control commission was given the task of taking necessary measures to control the prices of commodities in accordance with the value of Afghani.
The meeting concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
