Awareness Program on E-Procurement System Held for Employees of Emirate Institutions and Companies

On Sept 2, 2026, an awareness, capacity-building and practical training program on the E-Procurement System was held for employees of Emirate institutions and companies by the National Procurement Directorate (NPD) of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs.

At the outset of the program, Deputy Director of the NPD’s Darul Insha, Sheikh Abdul Rahim Rahimi, spoke about the importance of learning modern sciences. He said that the Islamic Emirate gives special importance to all sciences and that Islam has also placed great emphasis on learning and acquiring modern sciences.

He urged the participants to learn and use electronic systems in order to make better use of available resources and provide better and more effective services.

The key components of the E-Procurement System were then practically demonstrated to the participants, particularly how to prepare, register, amend and follow up on procurement plans, as well as the process of registering contracts and tracking their progress. In addition, the technical team of the E-Procurement System answered the participants’ questions related to the system.

It is worth noting that the National Procurement Directorate plans to continue its series of awareness programs aimed at further developing the E-Procurement System, expanding its use, and enhancing the capacity of employees.
