Director of Investment Facilitation Visits Afghanistan Chamber of Industries and Mines


On August 12, 2026, the Director of Investment Facilitation at the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, Mawlavi Engineer Ahmad Zia Khalid, led a technical delegation to the Afghanistan Chamber of Industries and Mines and closely heard the concerns and suggestions of its officials.

The Deputy of the Afghanistan Chamber of Industries and Mines, Lal Mohammad Rafi Azami, welcomed the delegation led by the Director of Investment Facilitation and provided information about the chamber’s activities. He added that the Afghanistan Chamber of Industries and Mines serves as a bridge between industrialists and Emirate institutions and shares traders’ concerns with officials so that they can be properly addressed.

He also shared a number of challenges faced by industrialists, including insufficient electricity for industrial factories, the lack of suitable land, business licenses, the establishment of a one-stop service center, the lack of support for domestic products, sanitation taxes, and the need to clarify the status of the chamber’s activities in the provinces.

Mawlavi Engineer Ahmad Zia Khalid carefully heard the concerns of the chamber’s officials and provided them with the necessary guidance for addressing them. He further said that the leadership of the Islamic Emirate is committed to the development of domestic production and is working to make the country self-sufficient in production.

Concluding the visit, the Director of Investment Facilitation, accompanied by officials of the chamber, visited their offices and shared his experience regarding the progress of their work.
