Director of Policy and Strategy Meets Director of Handicrafts Development State-Owned Company


On July 1, 2026, the Director of Policy and Strategy of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, Mufti Abdul Wahid Usmani, accompanied by a technical delegation from the directorate, met with the Director of the Handicrafts Development State-Owned Company, Mawlavi Mohammad Ibrahim Nabeel, at the company's office, along with representatives of the private sector, to discuss improving the company's affairs, the development plan, and solutions to existing challenges.

At the outset of the meeting, the Director of the Handicrafts Development State-Owned Company shared a number of key proposals aimed at the growth and development of the handicrafts sector, including the establishment of a standardized handicrafts complex, the creation of a dedicated garden for women artisans, the provision of modern machinery for carpet wool processing, the promotion of domestic investment in leather processing, and the establishment of a dedicated handicrafts showroom between Kabul and Moscow.

After hearing the proposals and views of the company director and representatives of the private sector, the Director of Policy and Strategy, Mufti Abdul Wahid Usmani, stated that all the proposals would be incorporated into the development plan being prepared by the Policy and Strategy Directorate so that the company's products could be improved in quality and brought into line with international standards.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Director of Policy and Strategy visited several handicrafts showrooms, where he shared his observations and recommendations with artisans on improving product quality and further developing the handicrafts sector.
