Director of Investment Facilitation Visits Kabul Cable and Life Pearl Pharmaceutical Factories

On June 30, 2026, Mawlavi Engineer Ahmad Zia Khalid, Director of Investment Facilitation at the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, accompanied by a technical delegation, visited the Kabul Cable and Life Pearl Pharmaceutical factories in the Kabul Industrial Parks.

During the visit, the Director of Investment Facilitation stated that the country's current favorable economic environment and nationwide security have encouraged many investors to invest in Afghanistan. He added that the officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan are working to provide more facilities for investors and create better opportunities for investment.

Officials from Kabul Cable and Life Pearl Pharmaceutical factories then provided detailed information about their production processes and activities, stating that the factories have created employment opportunities for hundreds of citizens.

During the visit, the officials of both factories also raised their concerns with the Director of Investment Facilitation regarding electricity shortages and the lack of land for expansion. He assured them that efforts would be made to address these issues.
