Meeting Held to Document and Provide Media Coverage of Tourist Areas

On April 16, 2026, a meeting was convened in the conference hall of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, under the chairmanship of Mufti Ihsanullah Badar, Director of Media, with the participation of representatives from the Ministries of Interior Affairs; Guidance, Hajj and Endowments; Water and Energy; Information and Culture; Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock; and National Defense; as well as representatives from the General Directorate of Intelligence, the National Environmental Protection Agency, the General Directorate for Coordination of Municipal Affairs, Kabul Municipality, and the Emirate-Owned Afghan Tour Company, to implement the order of the Office of the Prime Minister regarding the documentation and media coverage of tourist areas.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mufti Ihsanullah Badar provided a comprehensive briefing on the topic and urged the relevant institutions to effectively carry out their responsibilities to ensure proper coordination and implementation of decisions.

During the meeting, it was decided that the Ministry of Information and Culture is obligated to carry out, in coordination with relevant ministries, the survey, identification, documentation, and collection of information on tourist sites, as well as the production of documentary films. Other relevant institutions are also obligated to closely cooperate with the Ministry of Information and Culture to support the development and growth of the tourism sector and to help increase revenue sources.

It was noted that the growth of this sector can create sustainable sources of income, attract foreign tourists, and play a significant role in strengthening national sovereignty and the economy.

The meeting, which began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
