Construction of a Passenger Terminal Begins in East Kabul

On April 6, 2025, the Director General of Administrative Affairs, Sheikh al-Hadith Mawlavi Noorul Haq Anwar, took part in a ceremony launching the construction of a new passenger terminal in eastern Kabul.

The meeting, held in eastern Kabul, was attended by the Director General of Administrative Affairs, Sheikh al-Hadith Mawlavi Noorul Haq Anwar; Minister of Public Health, Mawlavi Noor Jalal Jalali; Minister of Economy, Qari Din Mohammad Hanif; Minister of Urban Development and Housing, Mawlavi Hamdullah Nomani; Financial and Administrative Deputy of the Ministry of Transport and Aviation, Mawlavi Sediqullah Abid; Kabul Governor, Mawlavi Aman Obaid; and several other officials.

In his speech, Sheikh al-Hadith Mawlavi Noorul Haq Anwar emphasized that the government has a duty to serve the people by providing necessary facilities and addressing their needs and challenges.

He further stated that this system, this country, and the suffering nation have a right over the officials of the Islamic Emirate. He urged that available opportunities be used to serve the people and stressed the importance of expressing gratitude to Allah for all the available resources, as well as carrying out daily responsibilities with sincerity, innovation, and motivation.

Minister of Urban Development and Housing, Mawlavi Hamdullah Nomani, noted that the Islamic Emirate is working tirelessly to provide ease and convenience to the people, and such projects are a good means of creating employment opportunities for citizens.

Meanwhile, Minister of Public Health, Mawlavi Noor Jalal Jalali, expressed happiness over the construction of a standard terminal in the Pul-e-Charkhi area, which will benefit residents of the eastern provinces. He stated that since the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate, the country has witnessed development across various sectors along with improved security.

Economy Minister Qari Din Mohammad Hanif highlighted the Islamic Emirate’s commitment to implementing development projects nationwide. According to him, both incomplete and new projects from the previous administration have been resumed, aiming to bring convenience and employment to citizens.

The passenger terminal in eastern Kabul is being constructed on 7.3 jeribs of land at a cost of 162 million Afghanis. It will include an administrative building, a mosque, a parking area, a restaurant, and various other facilities.

The event concluded with the laying of the foundation stone, followed by a prayer for goodwill.
