This session took place in the conference hall of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs. In his opening remarks, Mawlavi Zamarak Yasir discussed the need for measures to prevent urban congestion and promote urban culture, emphasizing that Kabul is a densely populated city and that efforts should be made to reduce congestion for the convenience of its residents.

Representatives from the various ministries and directorates also shared their insights on the plan to tackle urban congestion and promote urban culture.

During the meeting, several potential solutions to urban congestion were discussed, including reactivating taxi transport and national passenger buses, regulating left-hand drive vehicles, relocating wholesalers’ goods storage outside the city, constructing overpasses at certain intersections, and building more public parking facilities.

In conclusion, the Director of Planning and Design of Construction Affairs listened to the suggestions of the representatives and decided that after evaluating and incorporating these ideas, the proposed plans would be forwarded to the Prime Minister’s Office for a final decision.
