The Director of Cultural and Social Affairs Meets Religious Scholars and Ethnic Elders of Spen Ghar District

On January 15, 2025, Mawlavi Mohammad Rabbani Naseeh, the Director of Cultural and Social Affairs, met with ulemas (religious scholars), ethnic elders, and youth from the Spen Ghar district of Nangarhar province to discuss and address their concerns.
The meeting was held in the conference hall of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs. During the opening remarks, the Deputy Director of Cultural and Social Affairs welcomed the attendees and highlighted the role of the General Directorate as a bridge between the government, the people, and the leadership of the Islamic Emirate.
Representatives from Spen Ghar district spoke in turn, raising issues related to roads, schools, clinics, dams, streams, retaining walls, and mosques. They also expressed concerns over the unavailability of an administrative building for the district. Furthermore, they mentioned the extensive destruction of villages and farmlands during the past 20 years of invasion and requested reconstruction efforts. Additionally, they called for the introduction of alternative crops to replace poppy cultivation and the creation of employment opportunities for the youth.
The Director of Cultural and Social Affairs listened attentively to the issues of the representatives and assured them that their concerns would be formally communicated to the relevant authorities. He also provided updates on plans for establishing an administrative building and activating administrative units within the district.
The meeting, which began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
