Investment Facilitation Deputy Meets Herat's Industrialists

On January 15, 2024, the Deputy Director of Public-Private Partnership at the Investment Facilitation Directorate, Mufti Abdul Wahid Usmani, met with Hamedullah Khedam, the head of Herat's Chamber of Mines and Industries, along with several other industrialists from the province.

The meeting took place at the office of the Deputy Director of Public-Private Partnership, where the industrialists expressed their gratitude to the Islamic Emirate for its efforts in addressing their challenges and concerns effectively.

During the discussion, the industrialists proposed an increase in tariffs on flour imports from foreign countries. They suggested that this policy shift would encourage businessmen to import wheat instead of processed flour, enabling local industries to produce high-quality, healthier, and more affordable flour for the public.

Mufti Abdul Wahid Usmani listened attentively to the issues raised by the industrialists and assured them that their concerns in the business sector would be addressed promptly. He emphasized that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is committed to supporting industrialists and has allocated thousands of acres of land in industrial parks across various provinces to facilitate and promote industrialists.

The meeting, which began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
