Director of Investment Facilitation Meets Industrialists of Herat
On November 26, 2024, Mawlavi Engineer Ahmad Zia Khalid, Director of Investment Facilitation of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, met with Sakhi Ahmad Payman, President of Kabul’s Chamber of Industry and Mines, Hamidullah Khadim, President of Herat’s Chamber of Industry and Mines, and several other industrialists from Herat Province to discuss their concerns.
The meeting was held in the conference hall of Marmarin Palace of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs. During the session, Mawlavi Khalid expressed his gratitude for the presence of Herat's industrialists and emphasized that the policy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is economic-oriented and that the Islamic Emirate seeks commercial and economic relations with the world.
In the meeting, the industrialists presented their ideas and suggestions, highlighting issues related to milk powder tariffs, cellophane (used as packaging for cakes, biscuits, etc.), and the registration of standard marks for companies. They requested that the Islamic Emirate address the challenges faced by the private sector and pay special attention to the needs of the industry and domestic investors.
Mawlavi Khalid listened attentively to the concerns and ideas shared by the industrialists, stating that building a self-reliant nation is a collective responsibility. He assured them that the Islamic Emirate is committed to facilitating the growth and development of the domestic industry. Furthermore, he promised to convey their issues to the relevant authorities to seek appropriate solutions.
The meeting, which began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
