The Director General for Coordination of Municipal Affairs traveled to Paktika Province
On September 9, 2024, the Director General for Coordination of Municipal Affairs, Mawlavi Mohammad Ishaq Akhundzada, led a delegation to Paktika Province. During the visit, they held separate meetings with the governor, businessmen, heads of unions, institutional officials, the public, and wakil-e-gozars (locally elected representatives) of the mentioned province to improve municipal affairs and strengthen ties between municipalities, Emirate agencies, and the people.
The meetings began with the recitation of the Holy Quran in the governor's office and at the Sharana Municipality compound. Wakil-e-gozars and businessmen of Sharana City then expressed their views and suggestions regarding the growth and development of Paktika Province, requesting special attention to this province from Mawlavi Mohammad Ishaq Akhundzada.
The Director General emphasized the sacrifices made by the people of Paktika in the military field for the establishment of the Islamic system and urged the wakil-e-gozars, businessmen, and union representatives to collaborate with the Sharana Municipality in revenue collection for reconstruction, sanitation, and real estate.
Meanwhile, Mawlavi Abdul Khaliq Abid, the governor of Paktika, said in a meeting attended by district governors and heads of departments of Paktika Province that officials should obey their emir and consider piety and trustworthiness in their affairs.
Noorullah Haqmal, an expert from the General Directorate for Coordination of Municipal Affairs, presented on revenue collection, expenditure, service provision, and other municipal-related issues.
In the meetings, Mohammad Ishaq Akhundzada highlighted the transparency in municipal activities, emphasizing the need for the implementation of the municipal plan for the orderly development of Paktika City. He urged the officials of Paktika province to cooperate in strengthening and implementing the urban plan of Sharana Municipality.
The session concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
