A coordination meeting was held to address the issues surrounding Bank-e-Millie Afghan properties in Pakistan
On July 15, 2024, based on the guidance of the Prime Minister’s Office, the Directorate of Legal, Legislative and Judicial Affairs held a meeting with the relevant agencies to resolve the problems of the properties of the Bank-e-Millie Afghan in Pakistan.
The meeting took place at the conference hall of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, presided over by Mr. Mawlavi Muhammad Hanan Haqqani, the Director of Legal, Legislative and Judicial Affairs. Representatives from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Justice, Finance, and Bank-e-Millie Afghan were in attendance to discuss the issues concerning the properties of Bank-e-Millie Afghan in Pakistan.
During the meeting, the representatives from the aforementioned agencies articulated their perspectives and suggestions regarding the properties held by the country in Pakistan and proposed the resolution of property-related issues through the Afghan Consulate located in the said country.
In conclusion, the Director of Legal, Legislative, and Judicial Affairs decided that a standing committee comprised of pertinent agencies, presided by the Ministry of Finance, should be established. This committee will be tasked with examining property-related cases concerning the Islamic Emirate in collaboration with the Afghan Consulate in Pakistan.
The meeting started with the recitation of the Holy Quran and concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
