Civil Society Affairs Directorate

Civil Society Affairs Directorate of Administrative Office of the President is formed to manage providing of information and building coordination with the Civil Society institutions in order to enhance relationships among the government and civil institutions. 

The directorate is mainly responsible to strengthen relations and create an environment for dialogues between the government and civil society and to find platforms to extend cooperation between the government and civil society based on the common principles for reinforcement of democracy and the culture of citizenship. 

In addition, the directorate prepares report on the civil society’s demands and advocacy and submits it to President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
